The Flats
|
|
The flats are in two-storey buildings with a
delightful garden for the use of residents. The flats consist of a large
room and a separate kitchen/diner and bath/shower room. There is also a
community room, a laundry and a guest room. The condition of the flats is
reviewed annually and we have a continual programme of maintenance,
redecoration and refurbishment.

The Garden

The Friendly Almshouses are in Stockwell Park Road, just off the Brixton Road and in walking distance from shops, mainline and underground stations and many bus routes. Vehicular access is via Rumsey Road. Click on "How to find us" (left) for more details.

Wardens
|
|
There are two Wardens who live on site, and provide support (but not nursing care), and each flat is equipped with a warden call system. This enables our residents to live independently for as long as possible. The wardens organise various activities for those residents who wish to join in. These include coffee mornings, parties, barbecues and outings. A computer with internet connection is provided for the use of
residents

Administration Manager
|
|
There is a part-time Administration Manager who helps with the running of the Almshouses and is available to give help and advice in practical matters relating to the maintenance of flats or applications for housing benefit etc.
